Momentum - venue 13, blackness library

Makers Statement:

Momentum is an exhibition featuring and organised by the Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design Residents. As a collective of newly graduated designers, makers and artists, we are coming together to exhibit our work that we have produced since graduating. Momentum is a contemporary exhibition set in a listed building; Blackness library. By designing and assembling our own exhibit space, the traditional and contemporary elements of each the library and Momentum will be seamlessly brought together. The Residency program exists to enable recent graduates to gain invaluable teaching experience in higher education and to further develop our work making full use of the facilities and workshop space. It is also a tailored enterprising and entrepreneurial development programme, which nurtures both the creative capabilities and business capacities of the resident in equal parts. The jewellers taking part in Scottish Jewellery Week's Jewellery Trail are, Beth Spowart, Dione Bolt and Sayoko Kobayashi.
